HS - HAR SUPPLEMENT

Anti-DHT

A nutritional supplement containing extracts of Serenoa, Nettle, American Ginseng, Ginkgo, Taurine, B vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, gelatin, calcium phosphate bi-base, Pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) bark dry extract titra- ted at 95% in protoantocianidine, Astaxanthin derived from alga Haematococcus pluvialis; Antiplatelet agents: vege- table magnesium stearate, colloidal silica.

Indications: HS is a supplement that can contribute to the maintenance of physiological structure of hair (biotin) and their pigmentation (copper). The extract of Ginkgo plays an antioxidant action whereas vitamin B9 and iodine contri- bute to the physiologic energy metabolism.

Information: the use of vitamin B complex has long been known for facilitating the different metabolic activities. In particular in the HS supplement, the use of Biotin contributes to the maintenance of physiological structure of hair while vitamin B9 intervenes in the process of cell division. In combination with these, vitamins B1 and B5 contribute to the phy- siologic energy metabolism.

Among the minerals used by the integrator HS there is the Copper which contributes to the pigmentation of the hair and the Iodine which is involved in energy metabolism. The associations of plant extracts developed and used in the HS Supplement play an effective antioxidant action conferred by titrated extracts of Ginkgo and Tonic, American Ginseng Extract, useful in case of stress.

How to use (recommended) : 2 tablets daily, preferably during or after meals. Warning: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

The supplements are not intended as a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of the reach of children under 3 years of age.

Use is not recommended in women of childbearing age and subjects of both sexes in pre-pubertal age.

Store in a cool, dry place. The expiry date refers to the product properly stored in unopened containers.

How does it work?
It is understood that men with male / female pattern hair loss have increased levels of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the scalp. DHT contributes to a shortening of the growth phase and a thinning of the hair. HS anti-dht hairloss supplement lowers the levels of DHT in the scalp and serum by blocking 5 alpha-reductase, an important enzyme involved in regulating the hair follicle. It contributes to the normalization of the hair growth cycle and the reversal of the hair loss process naturally and without the use of prescription drugs.

When can I see results?
The hair growth cycle and pattern is often stubborn to change and once hair damage has been done, it can take some time to restore growth habits. You may experience changes in as little as two weeks. Long-term benefits however require some months of continuous use and you can also boost the results through leading a healthy lifestyle.

Are there any side effects?
HS tablets offer a combination of natural ingredients that reduce the risk of severe side effects. You may be allergic to an ingredient; therefore we recommend that you check all ingredients to make ure you aren’t allergic to any.

Urtica dioica
Recent studies have conclusively shown that TNF-a plays a central role in the genetically programmed death (apoptosis) of hair cells in MPB (androgenetic alopecia). In fact, it is considered by several leading researchers to be the most significant factor in hair cell death, even possibly more significant than DHT. Surprisingly, the leaves of the common stinging nettle (Urtica dioica) have been found to contain substances that affect cytokine levels in the human body, particularly TNF-a. Nettle leaf extract has a long tradition as a medical remedy in Germany for inflammatory conditions such a rheumatoid arthritis and allergic rhinitis.

Saw palmetto
Saw palmetto extract comes from berries of the palm tree Saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) which is indigenous to the Atlantic Southeast coast of North America. Studies have shown that Saw palmetto is an effective anti-androgen. Firstly it lowers levels of DHT in the body by blocking 5 alpha-reductase. Secondly Saw Palmetto blocks receptor sites on cell membranes required for cells to absorb DHT. Studies have been performed on the use of Saw palmetto in the treatment of benign prostatic disease which similar to Androgenetic Alopecia also depends on the production of dihydrotestosterone(DHT). All of the studies that have been performed to date show that Saw palmetto is an effective anti-androgen and has shown conclusively to be effective in the treatment of benign prostate disease. One may assume from this that since Saw palmetto is an effective anti-androgen. More and more people around the globe are starting to use Saw palmetto in the treatment of Androgenetic alopecia

Beta-sitosterols
Beta-sitosterols appear to inhibit the action of the enzyme 5-alpha- reductase, which converts testosterone into dHt. It is one of the main contributing factors to alopecia.

Biotin
lso known as Vitamin B7 or Vitamin H, biotin renews cells, helps bind fatty acids together and works to convert food into energy. Many of the B-vitamins are important for healthy hair, but biotin is especially helpful in making the hair more beautiful. It will help create thicker hair for those who suffer from low to moderate hair loss. Pregnant women should be careful when taking biotin as extremely low levels and extremely high levels have been known to cause problems with the fetus.

Vitamin B
Vitamin B has been shown in several clinical studies to assist with hair growth. Testosterone, which is converted to DHT, shrinks hair follicles and shortens the hair growth cycle. This is one of the leading causes of hair loss. Vitamins for hair loss that include B6 bind to the testosterone receptors, blocking their effect on hair. B vitamins help reduce stress by assisting in the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin.

Taurine
Taurine is a naturally occurring beta-amino acid produced by methionine and cysteine metabolism. It is involved in a variety of physiological functions, including immunomodulatory and antifibrotic. Taking advantage of the ability of human hair follicle grown in vitro to recapitulate most of the characteristic features of normal hair follicle in vivo, we studied taurine uptake by isolated human hair follicles; its effects on hair growth and survival rate; and its protective potential against transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta1, an inhibitor of in vitro hair growth and a master switch of fibrotic program. We showed that taurine was taken up by the connective tissue sheath, proximal outer root sheath and hair bulb, promoted hair survival in vitro and prevented TGF-beta1-induced deleterious effects on hair follicle. In 2006 to a French study published in the journal "International Journal of Cosmetic Science", some researchers have confirmed that when the hair bulb takes taurine, increases survival of the hair (test tube) and fights a specific inhibitor of hair growth called TGP.

Folate
Because folate is important for tissue growth and cell function, it is essential that the body he has a sufficient amount to produce skin, healthy hair and nails, as these body parts must regenerate rapidly. Consequently, folic acid helps to prevent the loss of hair. It may also be a factor which delays the graying of hair.

Iodine
Iodine can have a part in hair fall because it directly affects the thyroid which, in turn, influence the health of the hair follicles. Hair follicles are delicate and very susceptible to damage. If you are healthy, the follicles are growing hair shiny, strong and healthy, but if they are not going exactly the opposite.

Copper
Copper contributes to the formation of hemoglobin in the red blood cells and helps carry oxygen in red blood cells. A diet deficient in copper hinders the body to produce hemoglobin required to carry the necessary amount of blood to the hair roots. When the hair does not have the vitamins and minerals they need, they die and fall off. The amount of hair loss that depends on the entity known as a consequence of the lack of copper.

Niacin
Since niacin has the effect of dilation of blood vessels and capillaries, it is believed that this increases the blood flow to the scalp and can stimulate their growth.

Root Extract American Ginseng
Ginseng is a wonderful herb that has many benefits. One of these is that it increases the stimulation and improves circulation. This helps those who suffer the loss, weakening or damage to the hair. Ginseng also removes toxins that can clog hair follicles, slowing or stopping the growth of new hair.

FAQ

Below you will find questions about hair loss.

GENERAL HAIR LOSS

WHAT TYPES OF HAIR LOSS ARE THERE?

Losing some hair is normal. However, when hair constantly falls out in larger amounts and especially does not grow back, it is referred to as hair loss. Here, there are different types of hair loss:

Hereditary hair loss (androgenetic alopecia)

In both men and women, the most common form of hair loss is "androgenetic alopecia", also known as "hair loss caused by male hormones". This refers to a "genetic-hereditary" hair loss. Usually, this type of hair loss increases with age and can also be a familial disposition. The body converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is broken down via the hair follicles and requires a lot of strength from them. Hair follicles shrink and thus reduce hair production. Hairs become thinner or fail to appear at all. This effect can be observed in both genders.

Circular hair loss (Alopecia areata)

This type of hair loss most often occurs in young adults. It is an autoimmune disease that causes circular bald patches that are locally limited (similar to holes in the hair). Usually on the scalp, eyebrows, and in men also in the beard region. Rarely on other parts of the body. The cause of the autoimmune reaction is debated. It can range from a simple protein deficiency to a psychological disorder. However, the hair follicles mostly remain intact. It is a non-scarring form of hair loss. Some therapeutic approaches exist.

Diffuse hair loss (Alopecia diffusa)

In the case of diffuse hair loss, the hair generally becomes thinner all over. This can happen, for example, due to a thyroid disease, stopping birth control pills, due to iron deficiency, hormone treatment, taking medication, or due to persistent stress. Children can also experience diffuse hair loss. It is a non-scarring form of hair loss. Some therapeutic approaches exist.

Other forms

WHY DO I HAVE HAIR LOSS?

Over the course of life, more than 50% of men and almost 20% of women are affected by hair loss. Some earlier, others a bit later.

The reasons for hair loss are individual, can be very different, and are often difficult to determine. Common reasons for hair loss include for example:

Hormones

In both men and women, the most common form of hair loss is "androgenetic alopecia", also known as "hair loss caused by male hormones". This refers to a "genetic-hereditary" hair loss. Generally, this type of hair loss increases with age and can also be a familial disposition. The body converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is broken down via the hair follicles and requires a lot of strength from the hair follicles. Hair follicles shrink and thus reduce hair production. Hairs become thinner or fail to appear at all. This phenomenon is observed in both genders.

For women, the periods after pregnancy or during menopause are also considered critical moments, as estrogen levels are often lower here, which can likewise lead to hair loss. In the case of a hormonal change of this nature, the hairs often become generally thinner. This is then referred to as "diffuse hair loss". Also, an infection, a thyroid disease, or taking certain medications can disrupt the hormonal balance and lead to diffuse hair loss.

Poor nutrition

The hair follicles are supplied with nutrients from the blood. A healthy and balanced diet is therefore important for supplying the hair with the necessary substances.

Extreme and radical diets or deliberately avoiding certain foods (e.g., vegan diet) without supplementary nutrition are very counterproductive for the hair. It is also often observed that people after significant weight loss also lose many hairs.

An unbalanced diet can lead to important macronutrients such as proteins or fats and micronutrients such as zinc, iron, or vitamins being missing to provide adequate nutrition to the hair follicles.

Lack of iron and vitamins

The cells of the hair follicles are among the body's most active cells.

Biotin (as the most important element) from the B-vitamin complex, also called vitamin B7, is part of enzymes and helps with metabolism (e.g., carbohydrates/protein/fat) and promotes cell growth. In principle, it acts as food for the cells. It also supports the formation of keratin and thus the regeneration of hair and nail bands.

But also other B vitamins such as niacin (B3), which also contribute to a normal metabolism and reduce fatigue, or pyridoxine (B6), which regulates the metabolism of amino acids together with other vitamins, play an important role.

Also, a lack of iron should not be overlooked. Although scientifically there is no proven direct link between iron deficiency and hair loss, various theories are discussed. Many enzymes necessary for DNA synthesis in the body, which is important for hair production, require iron for their function. It is widespread that an iron deficiency seems to be a common cause of hair loss.

A targeted supplementation with iron and vitamins can therefore be beneficial.

Psychological stress

It has long been known that persistent psychological stress is a cause of hair loss. The exact background is not clear. Experts assume that persistent stress provokes an inflammation at the hair follicle (interaction with proteins and leukocytes and signaling substances). The growth phase for the hair is significantly shortened, and the hair follicles enter a resting phase. The hair eventually falls out. Interestingly, however, the hair recovers over time with decreasing stress.

To treat stress-related hair loss, the first and foremost task is to avoid or reduce stress. This task must be approached individually for each person, e.g., with regular breaks, new time management, a different change in life, balancing activities such as sports or relaxation exercises such as yoga, up to supplementation with concentration-promoting nutrients, etc.

When the stress decreases, the hair usually grows back within six to nine months.

I AM BALD, ARE THE PRODUCTS USEFUL?
No. The products are only useful in the early stages of hair loss, as long as there are still hair follicles. Unfortunately, the products are not capable of forming new hair follicles. In the case of a bald spot, a hair transplant would be the only option. Here we would like to refer you to one of our partner stores: Hair Transplant Bern / Skinmed AG Lenzburg

WHAT DOES ANTI-DHT MEAN?

Both men and women most often experience the form of hair loss known as "androgenetic alopecia", also known as "hair loss caused by male hormones".

This is referred to as a "genetic-hereditary" hair loss. Generally, this type of hair loss increases with age and can also be a result of familial conditions.

The body converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is broken down via the hair follicles and requires a lot of energy from these.

The hair follicles become smaller, which reduces hair production. Hairs become thinner or fail to appear at all.

This effect is observed in both genders. Some active substances, such as saw palmetto (Serenoa), have an inhibiting effect on the enzyme alpha-5-reductase, which is responsible for the conversion of testosterone to DHT. Saw palmetto is also used in the preventive treatment of the prostate.

By inhibiting alpha-5-reductase, the aim is thus to maintain the testosterone level in the body.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF ANTI-STRESS?
Stress is a frequent cause of hair loss. In the HS tablets and Tricocure serum, there are concentration-enhancing ingredients such as ginseng root extract or vitamin B6 (pyridoxine).

An increased concentration has a positive effect on mental strain and can help reduce psychological stress (both distress and eustress).

WHAT DO THE HS-TABLETS DO?

The HS tablets are a specially composed combination of various important ingredients for the hair.

Unlike other products, the HS tablets work on several points at the same time.

Saw palmetto already ensures at a very early stage that testosterone is not converted into dihydrotestosterone too quickly (Anti DHT).

Various vitamins and amino acids supply the hair from the inside with the necessary nutrients (Vitamin cocktail). Additional components such as ginseng root extract or vitamin B6 contribute to supporting concentration and creating a certain stress resistance (Anti-stress effect). All together, they form an ideal matrix for a healthy basis for hair growth.

WILL IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF I TAKE MORE TABLETS?
The ingredients in the HS tablets are based on B-vitamins and amino acids as well as further plant components.

If the maximum daily dose of 2 tablets is exceeded, the excess nutrients will be excreted in the urine by the body.

There are no A-vitamins in the HS tablets, which can accumulate permanently in the body. Therefore, exceeding the maximum daily dose will not have any additional effect.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OF TAKING THE TABLETS?
The HS tablets are mainly based on ingredients of natural origin.

No side effects are expected. Allergy sufferers are encouraged to carefully examine the individual ingredients.

The tablets are also only pressed and do not have a gelatin or casein protective layer, which maximally reduces the risk of heartburn.

WHAT DOES THE TRICOCURE SERUM DO?

The Tricocure Serum is a specially composed combination of various important ingredients for the hair.

Unlike other products, Tricocure works on several points at the same time.

The active substance Kopexil (basic compound of Minoxidil) acts vasodilating and stimulates microcirculation and thus blood flow in the scalp (microcapillary formation).

This increases oxygen supply and ensures that the hair follicles are supplied with sufficient nutrients. Like the HS tablets, Tricocure Serum also has a local Anti DHT effect (the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone is reduced).

Various vitamins and amino acids locally supply the hair with additional important nutrients (Vitamin cocktail).

All together, they form an ideal matrix for a healthy basis for hair growth.

IS GOOD BLOOD CIRCULATION IN THE SCALP IMPORTANT?

Oxygen and nutrients from the body are transported via the blood to the hair follicles.

Good blood circulation in the scalp is therefore a cornerstone for the hair follicles to be adequately supplied.

Products such as Tricocure Serum or Tricocure Shampoo can support here with a vasodilating effect.

WILL IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF I USE MORE SERUM?

The ingredients in the Tricocure Serum are based on B-vitamins and amino acids as well as further plant components.

If the maximum daily dose of 2x daily 3 ml is exceeded, the excess nutrients will be excreted in the urine by the body.

Once the blood vessels have been opened by Kopexil, they cannot be opened further by a repeated application.

The effect would therefore not be greater. Excessive application could at most cause irritation of the scalp.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OF USING TRICOCURE?

Tricocure is primarily based on ingredients of natural origin, from which no side effects are expected.

An exception is the chemically produced Kopexil (a vasodilating substance).

Allergy sufferers are encouraged to carefully examine the individual ingredients. Due to the ingredient "Kopexil", which stimulates blood circulation, it is recommended to avoid the use of Tricocure in diseases associated with inflammation or circulatory disorders (e.g., psoriasis, inflamed scalp, or rosacea, etc.).

It is also not recommended to use the product during pregnancy, as the woman in this period has sufficient estrogen, and the Anti-DHT effect would therefore not be beneficial. In case of doubt, please consult your doctor before use.

WHEN CAN I EXPECT RESULTS?

From the intake of the HS tablets, the body requires at least 14 days before the first small differences, such as slightly thicker hair, can be noticed.

Persistent, clearer results can only be expected after at least 2 months (the hair must first regenerate and grow up from the hair follicles). Ideal results are seen from 4 months and upwards.

The same applies to Tricocure. However, this serum should not be used for more than 4 months, as the body could otherwise get used to it.

DO I HAVE TO USE ALL THE PRODUCTS, OR CAN I USE THEM INDIVIDUALLY?

Our recommendation: Use Tricocure Serum, HS tablets, and Tricocure Shampoo in combination.

After 4 months, stop using the serum and continue only with the HS tablets and Tricocure Shampoo.

If needed, the serum can later (wait at least 2 months) be added again in a targeted manner.

When the desired result is achieved, the treatment can be ended. Of course, it is also possible to use the products (HS tablets and Tricocure Shampoo) individually.

However, we strongly recommend combining Tricocure Serum with the HS tablets to have sufficient nutrients in addition to improved blood circulation.

I HAVE TAKEN THE PRODUCTS, BUT SEE NO DIFFERENCE

It may occur that a person does not respond to the treatment or does not achieve the desired effect.

In such a case, you should consult a dermatologist or a specialist to clarify the exact cause of your hair loss. See also our FAQ item "Why do I have hair loss?".

I HAVE TAKEN THE PRODUCTS, BUT MY HAIR LOSS HAS GOTTEN WORSE!

In very rare cases, it can even happen that the hair follicles are initially overstimulated, and they first shed the old hair before a new strong hair grows.

This process from shedding the old hair to the emergence of the new hair can take up to 9 months.

Here, perseverance and disciplined application are important. In such a case, it is also advisable to consult a doctor in parallel with the use of our products and have a blood test done.
